The Western & Southern Open, one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world and the oldest in the United States still played in its original city, brings all of the world's best tennis players to our area. And it makes a significant impact on the Greater Cincinnati region by generating more than $25 million annually for the regional economy and turning many tennis fans into enthusiastic tourism ambassadors for our region. The tournament also contributes to local charities. The W&S Open benefits Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the UC Barrett Cancer Institute at University Hospital, a regional cancer research center.
